Just two months is a long time to wait for a reply from one’s MP that doesn’t really address the points I made. I wrote a bit of a rant complaining about what poor value for money Bristol City Council gave for a king’s ransom in council tax and the fact that I had no redress for shoddy service and their misuse of public money. The rubbish and recycling was just an illustration, which Kerry McCarthy seems to think was the main point of my missive.

As regards the saying it reads as follows:

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.“

According to Mark Twain’s autobiography, it was coined by another politician – Benjamin Disraeli.

You had to wait just 2 mths for her to tell you something that we all know.

Still nice to know she tries to talk to the council about it, and better to know that they use the same line when talking to her about it.
